Ali Al Kassab for a Positive Change

Help make a difference in the Anirniq Ward of Edmonton.

Community Empowerment

Edmonton faces real challenges: rising taxes, unsafe streets, and strained services. I’m committed to freezing property taxes, making neighborhoods safer, and improving transit. I’ll support balanced infill, proactive crime prevention, and practical solutions for homelessness, all while respecting established communities. Together, we can create affordable, connected, and vibrant neighborhoods through collaborative, community-driven policies. Let’s build a stronger, safer Ward Anirniq that works for everyone.

Community Empowerment

Platform

* STOP THE TAX SQUEEZE: Your Money Stays in Your Pocket• Freeze property taxes , No more endless hikes while services decline.• Demand fair contributions, Corporations and luxury developers pay their share, not just hardworking families.

* SAFER STREETS : Real Solutions, Not Empty Promises• Police where it counts, Patrols focused on violent crime• Mental health crisis teams, Trained responders for emergencies• Homelessness isn’t a crime, I’ll fight for housing and rehab, not handcuffs and jail cells.

* NO MORE WASTE: Your Taxes Should Work for YOU• Cancel vanity projects, Not one more dollar for projects while roads crumble.• Fix infrastructure first, Potholes before politicians’ legacies.

* HOUSING YOU CAN AFFORD : No More Predatory Practices• Rent control now. Stop exploitative increases squeezing families out.• Expand public housing. Dignity shouldn’t depend on a landlord’s greed.• Smart growth, not reckless density.

* The current infill bylaw: The bulldozes in neighborhoods. I’ll push to slash unit-per-lot limits from 8 to 2 or 1 in residential zones, more housing, but balanced for communities, not just developers.

* Transit: The city keeps forcing expensive LRT expansions through quiet neighborhoods, disrupting communities while failing to fix the transit problems we actually have.

My Ironclad Promise

"If I can’t show you the documents, the decision doesn’t happen. Your Money. Your Voice. Your Decision. I'm here to represent your choices, not make them for you.

I am committed to holding monthly meetings with community leagues to proactively address challenges, collaborate on solutions, and drive meaningful progress for our ward.

I believe in transparency, efficiency, and result, putting residents first in every policy.

While Edmonton families struggle with a cost-of-living crisis and the city faces a massive deficit, City Council voted to give themselves a $10,000 raise. I refuse to accept it. If elected, I will not keep a single dime of that raise. Instead, I will immediately return every penny, $40,000 over the term directly to the people of Ward Anirniq. You will decide where it goes. More support for seniors? A new youth program? Enhanced community safety? You name it. This isn't a gesture; it's a promise. Real leadership means standing for each other, not above each other.

Progress for Anirniq

Anirniq doesn’t need more talk, it needs tangible solutions. As your candidate, I bring proven leadership, practical strategies, and an unwavering commitment to turning community voices into real progress.

Why I’m Running:

Bold Leadership, Not Empty Promises Challenges demand clear immediate action, not endless debates. I confront problems head-on with solutions that work. Workable Strategies, not wishful thinking, from safer streets to responsible budgets.

My approach is simple:

Transparency, efficiency, and results. Every dollar spent must serve you, not political agendas. Empowering Communities, Not Ignoring Them. Vibrant neighborhoods start with engaged residents. Your feedback isn’t just heard, it drives every decision.

Together, we’ll unlock Anirniq’s full potential. Let’s build a stronger, more united Anirniq Ward, where action replaces excuses, and progress speaks louder than words. Join me. "Enough is enough. Let's get it done."
